Generally accompanied by colleagues Louis Cameron, Jack Paynter or a player from around the nation, the podcast is released weekly during summer and continued for overseas tours as well.

DESIGN

My day-to-day role involves regularly opening Photoshop and whipping up a graphic for the next milestone or achievement.

One enjoyable project that has become an annual event is ‘Kit Week’, where we’ve taken the time to look back at some memorable aspect of the cricketers’ kit bag.

Kit Week 2021, teams uniforms: For the inaugural Kit Week, we looked at the greatest playing shirts in cricket history. We capped off the week by ranking Australia’s greatest-ever kits and looking at all the World Cup kits worn to date. I designed these graphics including the individual remastered digital mock-up of each kit, so we didn’t have to rely on our photo archive.

Kit Week 2022, cricket bats: Everyone involved in cricket, be it player or fan, has a connection to the humble cricket bat and we decided to lean into that for the second edition of Kit Week.

Again, we ranked the best blades to inspire debate. I individually re-created each bat below and was stoked with the end result.

VIDEO EDITING

So much of our content is video based so it’s vital to know your way around the basic video editing software, like Adobe Premiere Pro. Putting together videos, especially something from deep in the archive, is a thoroughly enjoyable part of the job.
